The creation and installation of a fireplace surround panel in the taproom is on tap for 2007!

Research has been conducted to determine the location and style of both the fireplace and a surround panel. The panel design includes features prevalent during the time period this 1799 tavern was constructed.

This project is sponsored in part by a grant from the Charlton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

The stenciling in the east bedchamber was completed in 2005, reproducing an authentic Charlton design found in a house on Bond Road.
